INDIVIDUAL & GROUP composition lessons
LEARNING HOW TO WRITE MUSIC FOR ALL INSTRUMENTS AND MEDIA
This composition course is perfect for all of those who always dreamed about writing their own music.
It’s possible to get individual lessons, and also in groups of 2 (limited to this number under the current regulations in the Netherlands). In optimal conditions, all students will have the chance of having a practical lesson with real musicians every 4 months performing your music during a workshop with all students and the teacher.
This course focuses on the basic aspects of the music composition: harmony, instrumentation, basic music production… and all skills required for developing music creations.
Ideal for students +12 years old. All levels
Lessons in the Muziekcentrum Zuidoost are eligible for subsidies up to 450€

Intensive composition course
A PROGRAM FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING ALL SKILLS RELATED TO MUSIC COMPOSITION IN A HIGH LEVEL
In contrast with the previous course, this intensive course aims to develop the composition skills of the students by teaching all the fields related in detail, with specific lectures and online support apart of the lessons.
The students following this program will receive specific lessons on music theory, basic history of the composition, music production and applied piano playing. All of these plus the practical lessons with musicians once every 4 months make the program even more intense than some conservatory composition programs.
Ideal for students older than 14 years old and conservatory preparation
Lessons in the Muziekcentrum Zuidoost are eligible for subsidies up to 450€

Online composition lessons
FLEXIBLE ONLINE LESSONS FOR ALL
For those students not able to join the in-person lessons, mostly during the current pandemic, it’s possible to receive Online Composition Lessons.
Thanks to the technology progress, it’s possible to get regular individual lessons through Zoom or Skype.
Ideal for all levels and ages

Discounts
The International Music Studio offers several ways for the students of any of the courses to get a discount on their fees. All students can apply for them if they meet the requirements.
Also a reminder of the Jeugdcultuurfonds, which grants up to 450€ to students under 16 years old taking lessons in the Muziekcentrum Zuidoost.
